Speaking of Paris Bridges

Coincidentally, I was painting another Paris bridge when the Pont-au-Change sold. This one is the Pont Notre-Dame, which is one bridge east of the Pont-au-Change. This one has been on my "to paint" list for five years. I finally got to it. It's a very similar palette, but a different mood from the previous one.

  1. My heart melts when I look at this image - the previous Pont-au-Change painting too. The way you paint catches light and form so effortlessly. The bright edge of stone against the far stone bank that almost dips into the water. Pure poetry.

  2. Thanks again. I wouldn't say it's "effortless". We watercolorists are adrenaline junkies, I think. The paint sometimes has a mind of its own.
BTW, you remain my one and only follower. Please tell your friends! I'm trying to increase interest in the blog. Thanks so much for following.

  3. I know you're new to blogging, but I hope you realize that having amazing content has nothing to do with having followers of your blog. The blogosphere is a funny place - I'll just leave it at that. I'll put the word out, and eventually so will a lot of others, just give it time and keep posting your amazing work.
