The Harrington Gallery in the new Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton is featuring works by four signature members of the National Watercolor Society, Karen Frey, Carolyn Lord, Robin Purcell, and yours truly. The show runs concurrently with the 2009 traveling exhibit of the National Watercolor Society.
The show opens October 19th and runs through December 2nd. See their website, www.firehousearts.org for more information.
This is a must see for anyone remotely interested in watercolor. If Pleasanton were on the moon I'd find a way to get there! I'm really looking forward to seeing the show - thanks for letting us know about it.

Thanks Wren, I hope you enjoy it. The opening is Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 and open to the public.
ReplyDeleteThe opening at Harrington Gallery last night was great Michael - what's the big deal about the Giants anyway! I got to drool in front of your canale grande painting in person. Your originals are stunning. The scale of the Karen Fry work was pretty impressive and I got to meet her and Robin. Great show! Congrats.

Sorry I missed you. I had to leave at 7:30. I'm glad you enjoyed the work. Karen's scale is very impressive. She was my first watercolor teacher, many, many years ago.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked the grande canale painting. I'm partial to it too.
